Mo-Tech has prepared yachts for the most demanding and far-reaching voyages including circumnavigation. We work with the finest equipment on the market including Victron, Master Volt and Blue Sea.
Galvanic Activity Testing, Prevention & Cure
All boats are submersed in salt water.
Boats have different types of metals, each of which has a different electrical potential.
This causes a current to flow between them with the ocean acting as the electrolyte. The result is cavitation and pitting marks. The challenge is to find the stray currents. In the past 20 years we have performed galvanic activity tests on all types of vessel. We track down the stray currents that are attacking the boat’s metal and provide solutions.
There are a few ways to prevent this type of damage:

Installing sufficient Zinc sacrificial anodes for protection.

Ensuring that all electrical devices on board are well isolated.

Installing a Galvanic Isolator on the shore line inlet to protect from leakage from the shore side.

All systems that are not being fed by the grid/electrical net are considered as an “off grid” or autonomous systems.
It can be affixed in a remote place or mobile on cars or tracks.

Our systems provide backup automatically with no action needed. Unlike typical PC UPS which are intended to give backup for few minutes our costume tailor made systems are designed specifically to your exact needs.

We can supply backup power from 500W and up to 10KW with a capacity of 12KW up to 20KW (and more).

All our systems use high quality European sourced components. They are maintenance free, with a check once every 2 years. They do not produce any radiation. The systems are modular and can be customized into a furniture, free standing or can be rolled on wheels.
Finally a custom backup system can be combined for use with a generator to lower fuel consumption.
